Without EVX VCU Hardware
You will receive free, vehicle sensor access to more than 2,000 vehicle data points from your BYD SHARK 6, using existing factory sensors and vehicle endpoints.
This gives you visibility into information BYD does not normally display to the driver, including petrol generator and electric motor RPM, temperatures, energy and fuel usage data, and much more.
The All Terrain EVX APP can also use this live vehicle data to calculate more useful information, such as estimated fuel remaining and driving range based on actual consumption, rather than relying solely on the factory display.
By using the All Terrain EVX APP, you can optionally help contribute vehicle data to EVX Cloud, allowing us to improve data interpretation, develop new features and continue expanding the app based on real-world use and community feedback.
No additional hardware is required to use the free read-only features of the All Terrain EVX APP. The app is installed directly onto your SHARK 6 infotainment/head unit.

Advanced Vehicle Behaviour & Control Unlocked
Adding EVX VCU hardware unlocks advanced control over how your SHARK 6 responds on and off road. Available and planned capabilities include:
One-Pedal Driving: Greater low-speed control for off-road use.
High, Medium & Low Off-Road Regeneration: Significantly increased regenerative braking for improved downhill control and reduced reliance on the friction brakes.
Increased On-Road Regeneration: Enhanced regeneration for towing and everyday road use, subject to ADR approval.
Custom Accelerator Pedal Curves: Revised throttle response, including the reduction or removal of factory accelerator delay.
Generator Control & RPM Management: Greater control over generator operation, including maximum RPM and charging-rate management.
Advanced Off-Road Driving Modes: Specialised vehicle behaviours and control strategies designed to improve SHARK 6 capability and control in challenging off-road conditions.
Firmware OTA via the All Terrain EVX APP: Receive firmware updates directly through the All Terrain EVX APP, and manage and configure your EVX VCU hardware directly from your vehicle's infotainment system.
The All Terrain EVX APP is the software and data interface, while EVX VCU hardware enables the advanced vehicle behaviour and tuning functionality.
